Metal Lace Tatoos

Did anyone else see the beautiful metal tattoos at Karl Lagerfeld last season and wonder how they could possibly be duplicated? Can you somehow glue lace over a form like you do paper?

Hmm. I need to start making a list of all of the diy ideas I get during the school year so I can go ahead and finally try something (besides pinning fabric in odd ways) this summer.
