Nina Kids Shoes | Sophias Style

Nina Kids Shoes
Nina Kids Shoes
Nina Kids shoes are a relatively new addition to the Sophias Style collection, and we're really loving them.  Virtually every lady in this office owns at least one pair of Nina womens shoes, so naturally we were thrilled about carrying the kids line.

I'm an especially big fan of the Nina toddler shoes, they have the cutest pairs of little maryjanes in patent leather.  They remind me of Madeleine, one of my favorite children's books.  They should be worn with cute little dresses and pea coats, perfect for fall!

Enjoy shopping Nina kid shoes at Sophias Style!

For girly girls, I recommend checking out the girls pink John Deere cowboy boots. They're fun, especially in the faux ostrich leather, and they have that country girl look!

Hey lovelies,

Hope your all well and enjoying the weekend with the loved ones.So this morning I went to my Saturday family gathering  and did our Quran together and later had organised a Jewellery making session with the girls. Alhamdulillah it went well. They all were very happy with their final product.

I love jewellery so making one from scratch is always heaps of fun. And I definitely love catching up with these girls..

I watched this video today and thought I share it. It’s what our brothers and sisters are going through in Palestine. May Allah lift these oppressors from them and Muslims around the world.

Baby Dresses | Sophias Style

Baby Dresses
Baby Dresses
The Bonnie Jean baby dresses we've just starting carrying are so perfect for fall.  I know it's a bit early, but that rich red plaid will be so perfect when the leaves are just starting to turn into golds and oranges and reds.  It looks like it should be worn by a little girl in a park in London, walking with her very Jackie O-esque mummy, who would be pushing an old fashioned baby carriage with a navy cover that has ruffled trim.

We have tons of darling girls dresses that would be great for this summer, and could easily be paired with a sweater for fall when back to school season rolls around.  It's never a bad time to shop for dresses for girls at Sophias Style, but right now is an especially good time because you can save 25% on everything this week.  That includes sale, so stock up today!

School Uniforms for Girls have Arrived at Sophias Style

Girls School Uniforms
Girls School Uniforms
While visiting relatives in San Francisco this winter, I was taking a bus downtown and the cutest group of little first grade girls wearing girls school uniforms got on the bus with their teachers.  They were so adorable, I actually took a picture with my phone.  That officially sold me on school uniforms for girls.  I only wish my school had made such cute, preppy little outfits mandatory.  Instead they allowed me to run around in all kinds of awful 90's stretch pants and neon colors.
On top of the catastrophe that was 90's fashion, school uniforms would have also saved me from the awkward phase between the ages of about nine to seventeen when getting dressed for school became a challenge of mammoth proportions.  Honestly, some kids whined about algebra, but math never had anything on the unsolvable equation that was my wardrobe situation from the first day of junior high through the last day of high school:  If Sue has 40,000 items of clothing in her closet, and attends school 5 days a week for 36 weeks a year, how many times will she be late to first period because she couldn't find anything to wear?  The answer was A) All of them.
Save your daughter a little time (okay, a lot of time) and several headaches, and buy her girls school uniforms from Sophias Style today.  They'll look great and last all year, and she'll be able to focus on real math.

Sharing some French Crepe’s

Hey lovely ladies,

I have to admit it has been awhile once again between posts. I hate that feeling when I want to post straight after an outing or an idea that comes to mind. Only to find myself pressed for time. Grrrr
Anyways enough of my whinging for the time being. I would like to share a little spot in Melbourne I accidently came across some months ago. Ohh offcourse I completely forgot once I left there. hehehe
So again I stumbled across it last Friday while running some errands in the city. Scott Alley is located off Flinders lane with just three or four stores. The best of them being the awesome French Creperie. It’s called Roule Galette. I love French Crepe and these guys make them just perfect. Ohh and offcourse add the French accent that takes over the tiny little cafe coming from the waiters. All in all you really can’t go wrong.
I had a successful day with the shopping but was soo glad to have taken a few snaps of these tiny lane and alleys that add so much character to Melbourne. I love them and hope to find some more beauties to come.

Until then Enjoy a few of these snaps:

A bit of Character

A lovely day all round in Melbourne’s CBD and inshallah more to come as I explore my beautiful city.
Hope you enjoy these pics and more to come.

Until then……………
Take care

Girls Designer Shoes
Girls Designer Shoes
Ever since the Wizard of Oz was made into a movie, ruby red glitter shoes have become a necessity in a little girls closet.  They're cute and fun and iconic, what more can you ask for?  I'm really loving Primigi's take on the style, these shoes have a girly feel with sensible elements.  She could wear these every day and they would look and feel great.  The velcro maryjane strap is cute and functional at the same time.
We have tons of great girls designer shoes by Primigi and other great brands that know just how to take a classic and give it the perfect twist.
We also have some really fabulous designer infant shoes made by brands that not only create great looking shoes, but also make sure that their shoes will help young children that are just learning about walking.  Designer baby shoes and designer toddler girl shoes by Wee Squeak are especially beneficial.  The squeaky soles make it fun for kids to learn how to properly distribute the weight throughout their feet when walking.

Chic Christmas Dresses at Sophias

Girls Christmas Dresses
Girls Christmas Dresses
I will be the first to admit that I am a bit overly enthusiastic about stripes, particularly horizontal ones.  I know they are traditionally an enormous fashion don't, but I love them.  I think they're chic and fun and flattering, and they are the most versatile pattern that ever was.  Honestly, a striped navy and white tee shirt can be worn to give your outfit a charming, casual nautical feel.  An oversized striped sweater with skinny jeans will make your legs look two miles long.  A striped blouse will make even the most blase office ensemble interesting.  And a striped dress?  That will make for the most stylish look in the room.  It's unique and classic at the same time.  I'm in love with our striped girls Christmas dresses.  If you're not quite comfortable with breaking the only fashion rule you mother and grandmother agree upon, then don't.  Have your adorable daughter do it instead with her toddler Christmas dress!  She's way too young to have reservations about anything horizontal, and since you're still the one dressing her, you can totally take credit for the cutting edge fashion statement she's making!  Genius, right?

On a related note, now is the perfect time to get chic Christmas dresses for girls.  We're just getting in all the lastest styles, so you can grab yours before they sell out.  Better hurry!

Toddler Petticoats, So Precious!

Toddler Petticoats
Toddler Petticoats
Girls petticoats are some of our most beloved items at Sophias Style.  We have so many gorgeous special occasion dresses, and petticoats just give them that extra bit of volume that really perfects the look.
I personally really love the toddler petticoats and infant petticoat, all the little Christmas and Easter dresses look so precious with the full skirts!  My brother is getting married in three months, and I will definitely be getting a toddler petticoat from Sophias for the flower girl.
We have a variety of styles, include half slips, full slips, tea length and knee length. For younger girls, I recommend the full slip petticoats.  The fabric is very soft and will help her stay comfortable in dresses that are made of stiffer fabrics.  Older girls tend to prefer the half slips, because they work with every style of neckline.
Whatever the occasion, make sure you find the perfect slip or petticoat for her dress!

HFW Day 6- Vacation Wear

So what would you  wear that allows you to be comfy but of course always stylish while away. No fashionista is going to forget how to be trendy hey.
Here’s my take on Vacation and fashion.
Ok so I'm not the most experienced traveller out there,  really I have only been OS once and visited like 6 cities  in like 2 months. But I learnt very quickly what worked for me. Travelling with elderly people and a mother and child was hard. Being single apparently I was always free handed. Anyways it was an experience like no other in my young 23 years. hahaha. So in Egypt my maxi dresses and skirts were on continuous rotation. Modest and perfect for the heat. A Hijabi should always wear pants just incase you want to do some crazy water activities even if your wearing a maxi dress…. It was crazy but worth it (See below).
My ideal holiday was alhamudlillah enjoyed in Sharm el-Sheikh in November 2010. My brother gave me the holiday like no other because he is Simply  awesome. We stayed at a resort which was beautiful, quiet and most of all Clean. I had a ball.
So here’s me enjoying my stay in Sharma el Sheik:

View album
A vacation indeed

So there you have it, my vacation wear is always comfy but you know elegant and trendy won’t hurt.
Hope you like the pic overload on my blogs.
Love always,
Trendy Melbourne xoxoxoxo

That Feeling....................

Hey ladies,
How you all doing?
There is 4 minutes left of  Friday and I’m trying to finish the HFW Jummah post at the same time………hahahahah talk about delayed.
I really enjoyed my Friday alhamdulliah with my gorgeous best friend Nas. We caught up for lunch & coffee in the city picking up where we left off last time we met (Click here). I have said it before but I'm saying it again it’s such a blessing when catching up with your best friend will leave you filled with Iman (faith). We can sit and talk forever and it feels great because not a moment was wasted on speaking about someone. May Allah reward her Inshallah.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Ohh did I mention I'm working tomorrow.

Love always,
Trendy Melbourne xoxoxox

HFW Day 5- Jummah

Friday is a blessed day in Islam. It’s a day of Eid for every Muslim young and old. It’s such a special day in the life of a Muslim so much so that a entire surah in the holy Quran is dedicated to it. Salaat-ul-Jumma or Friday Prayer is offered in congregation. It is offered in place of Zhurh Prayer. Each week on Friday, Muslims are required to take a bath, dress in their best clean clothes, wear perfume and assemble in the mosque for Friday Prayer. The Holy Quran and the sunnah speak highly of the blessings of Jumm'a Prayer. If a Muslim spends Friday in the remembrance of God Almighty, supplicating before his Lord, he is abundantly rewarded by Allah. Friday Prayer is an occasion for the assembly of the Muslims of a whole city or a town. However living here in Australia it’s a rear occasion for women to attend the Jummah prayer. I for one have never attended Jummah prayer in the mosque. Alhamduliah I was able to fulfil that wish while in Egypt. It was very beautiful mashallah.

So here is what I would wear if I was to attend a Jummah prayer minus the jewellery Smile
